A good social-media strategy should consider every aspect of its campaign and if possible compile a list of do’s and don’ts that are pertinent to individual platforms. The fact that the social-media sites addressed by this infographic all have hundreds of millions of users lends to the fact that they appeal to different demographics with a wide range individual needs. Perhaps, that is what makes this post more interesting. For example, it may not be advisable for a company or organisation to devote much attention to promoting its business on Reddit, its resources might be better served on other sites like Facebook and LinkedIn. Likewise, a blogger whose ultimate goal is to generate traffic should probably look away from sites like Flickr and Tumblr as a result of their apparent low click-through rates (CTR).
